Data
The SASCWATCH project collects and leverages a wide variety of current/past observational and model data. Below are links to the relevant locations where this data can be found:
- NOAA and Air Force dropsonde data are transferred to an FTP site shortly after each flight
- The ALAMO temperature, salinity, and pressure data will be made available in real time. Quality-controlled ALAMO data will reside at National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)
- AXBT data will be quality controlled and eventually reside at National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI). Past AXBT data from the TROPIC program are publicly available
- Saildrone data is available through the NOAA PMEL site
- ADWSD wave drifter data will be transmitted by Iridium telemetry to Scripps Institution of Oceanography for postprocessing and archiving
- WSRA remotely sensed wave data is available from the vendor's site
- IWRAP and KaIA data is hosted by NOAA NESDIS
- microSWIFT wave spectra data from the University of Washington is available for past tropical cyclone deployments
